About - My story
"I am an artist who thrives on painting and sketching outside, I draw inspiration from nature, and I believe in appreciating the beauty in everyday views and surroundings".

Christine Haseldine, a contemporary British artist based in South Cambridgeshire, was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, in 1981. Her artistic journey began at the Cambridge School of Art in her early twenties, where she obtained a degree in illustration and later pursued an MA in Children's Book Illustration.

Christine's artistic focus lies in landscape painting, drawing inspiration from the simple beauty of her surroundings, whether it's the delicate growth of weeds or the gentle curves of a street. Her deep connection to the natural world, especially landscapes, motivates her to explore the interplay between land and sky, which she translates into her tangible artworks.
She delights in the spontaneity of plein air painting and the immediate connection that comes from sketching directly onto canvas while immersed in nature. Once back at her art studio, Christine employs a variety of techniques, including sketches, photographs, or painting from memory, to bring her artworks to completion.
